WE WELCOME Prof. Caterina Giannetti AS A NEW AFFILIATE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EXCELLENCE

Caterina Giannetti has become an official affiliate of EMbeDS in May 2021.

Caterina is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Pisa. She is also an affiliated researcher of the Center E. Piaggio at the University of Pisa, and of the Oliver Kirchkamp‘s Chair in Empirical and Experimental Methods at the University of Jena (Germany).

Caterina obtained her Phd (Doctor Europaeus) from the IMT of Lucca in 2008. In the past, she spent research periods in several European universities such as Tilburg University (Netherlands), Oxford University and the Royal Holloway University of London (UK), the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium), the University of Jena (Germany), and the University of Bologna (Italy).

Caterina’s research is highly interdisciplinary, with special foci on finance, human-robot interaction and privacy. Her work has been published in many international journals -- including the Cambridge Journal of Economics, the Journal of Empirical Finance, the Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organization, the Journal of International Money and Finance, Social Networks, and Nature Scientific Reports.
